For the men folk

At SPACE, we often get asked if men are able to join our support groups, our online spaces, or to access our 1-2-1 support offer. The answer is: yes!

We know that it can often be easy for men to feel overlooked after a pregnancy loss or during a couple’s fertility journey, since most of the medical intervention, and therefore care and support tends to revolve around a woman.

So although the vast majority of people who seek advice and support in the SPACE network are women, we would always welcome male partners to come along to our support sessions with their partners if they wish to do so.

In addition, we can also provide 1-2-1 peer support for any male partners who feel that they might benefit from meeting up with another guy who has been through a similar experience to hang out, chat, and share experiences.

We know that men often find it hard to talk about these issues - but we don’t want any man to suffer in silence or feel alone.
